Anton A. Lehman, Luthier

How it all began: Luthier experiences

Luthier Anton Lehman once considered becoming a gunsmith.  He was drawn toward repairs and thought he would enjoy the satisfaction of a professional skill.  But his path was changed when he met Daniel Bell.

~Since 1987~

Mentor; Daniel Bell of Bell Mandolins

Daniel Bell, a luthier and builder of guitars and mandolins in his Buford, GA basement mentored Anton.  When Daniel learned Anton was a cabinet maker and had many years of woodworking experience, he pressed Anton to also become a luthier.  Anton attended bluegrass concerts and house jams with Daniel.  That and attending the Nashville Bluegrass Awards with the Bells turned the tide.  Anton studied under Daniel for several years before moving to Wyoming, where he has resided for over 20 years.

Anton is now a luthier of over 25 years experience that began with skills of woodworking in cabinet shops and bluegrass music in the hills of Georgia.
